New P.E., Jha Bones, Jeff Zagers on Bandcamp

Today is the monthly no-fee Bandcamp Friday, and there are three new releases I worked on that are out now & exclusive to Bandcamp.

My group P.E. shared our mixtape Sick, Sad, Fun! Originally released in March on cassette as part of the special-edition of our debut LP Person, Brooklyn Vegan calls SSF “a wild, psychedelic collage of album outtakes, live recordings, new songs and remixes.”  It is now available for streaming & download, with limited cassette copies (and Person/SSF bundles) remaining, courtesy of Wharf Cat Records.

My bandmate Bob Jones released his debut solo EP Materiel as Jha Bones.  Bob and I have collaborated in Eaters, P.E., and with a number of other musicians over the past nine years, and I’m excited that he’s opening his archives to the world – there’s plenty more gold where this came from!  This beat-and-sample driven collection of songs was mixed/mastered together last year at Studio Windows – check it out:

I also mastered a collection of covers by outsider singer/songwriter Jeff Zagers entitled And You Will Hear What It Is.  There are some truly lovely interpretations of the classics here, my favorite being his rendition of Big Star’s “Holocaust”.  And You Will Hear What It Is is out now via Wharf Cat Records.
