Brandy – The Gift Of Repetition

NYC endless-groove-punk trio Brandy are back with a new LP called The Gift Of Repetition.  I co-produced the record with the band last year, recording at their studio Spice World and mixing it at Studio Windows, with Mikey Young mastering.  This was one of those fast & fun records to make, where you get to the end of the process with a record imbued with the joy of its creation.  Bill Pearis at Brooklyn Vegan says the songs “all rip pretty hard… catchy and simple and darkly funny” and premiered their video for standout song “UFOs 2 Heaven” (shown below).  References have been made to A Frames and Tyvek (with whom P.E. and Brandy both played at The Glove before it shut down), and personally as a fan of the members’ other bands (Running, Pampers) and their previous label Monofonus (who released Brandy’s debut), this band really does it for me.  The Gift Of Repetition is out now on Total Punk Records.
