Big Bliss – the NYC-based melodic post-punk outfit – is back with Vital Return. After singles featured on Stereogum, FLOOD Magazine, and Under The Radar, plus a feature in NYS Music, their sophomore record is out now on Good Eye Records. This album was years in the making – started and then delayed by the COVID lockdown – and delves deep into loss, addiction, and societal ills with a blend of new-wave punk grooves and intimately catchy melodies. I produced & recorded the record with lead-singer/guitarist Tim Race – at Figure 8 Recording, Light Show Studios, and BBHQ – and I mixed it at Studio Windows; Sarah Register mastered the album in full. Vital Return is out now via Good Eye Records.

Brooklyn-based indie-punk band Big Bliss have released “Tell Me When You’re Ready”, the latest single from their upcoming album Vital Return. The track premiered on Under The Radar, who called it “a supremely energetic effort, with Tim delivering a passionate vocal performance atop nervy guitars and feverish drumming.” I produced & recorded the album with lead singer/guitarist Tim Race at Figure 8 Recording and Light Show, and I mixed it at Studio Windows; Sarah Register mastered the LP. Vital Return is out August 18 via Good Eye Records.

NYC jangle-punks Big Bliss are back with “A Seat At The Table”, the new single of their upcoming LP Vital Return. The track premiered on Flood Magazine (who wrote “Judging by the lead single, even the darkest moments on the record sound polished with a bright sheen”) and was called Big Takeover called it “a hands-down stunner”. I produced and recorded this record with lead-singer/guitarist Tim Race at Figure 8 Recording (with additional tracking at Light Show Studio, Studio Windows and BBHQ), mixed it at Studio Windows, and Sarah Register mastered the LP. Vital Return comes out August 18 on Good Eye Records.

NYC jangly post-punk combo Big Bliss are back! “Sleep Paralysis” is the first single since their 2018 LP At Middle Distance, and critics call it “one of the best songs of its ilk this year” (Stereogum) and “an impressively earnest anthem” (Alt Citizen). We started working on this song in the fall of 2019, with the intention of finishing it and the rest of the record in spring 2020, which was ultimately postponed for over a year. I produced this track with Tim Race of the band, recording it at Figure 8 Recording and Light Show Studios, with mixing and mastering done at Studio Windows. It’s just the first taste from a batch of excellent tunes, and I’m excited to be able to share this! “Sleep Paralysis” is out now.
