My group P.E. returns with I Wanna Be Your Dog, Boy – our take on a couple of punk classics.  The A-Side is a minimal & surreal interpretation of The Stooges’ “I Wanna Be Your Dog” (which we played live earlier this year) with a relatively more straight rendition of The Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” on the flip.  Flood Magazine premiered our version of “I Wanna Be Your Dog” – which they called “equal parts seductive and unnerving” – with additional features on Stereogum (“eerie, sax-laced, broken-down”), Treble (“excellent”), and Brooklyn Vegan (“slowing it to a crawl but upping the heat to just below a boil”) and NPR’s Viking Choice Playlist.  These songs may have begun before the pandemic, but they were largely recorded & arranged remotely, and served as the perfect gateway into working on our next record.  I edited/mixed/mastered both songs at Studio Windows in Brooklyn, NY.
